The countdown to Movelsul Brasil 2020 has started and, one year to go before the largest furniture trade show in Latin America for the shopkeepers and importers, the  Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) has intensified its preparations for the next fair. During Fimma Brasil 2019, on March 27, Sindmóveis will presents its public communication campaign for the next Movelsul Brasil, kicking off action plans to attract national and international visitors.

The communication strategy for Movelsul Brasil 2020, developed by República das Ideias agency, is continuing the campaign developed for the 2018 show, focusing on the great competitive edge it has in relation to other events: Bento Gonçalves surrounding area. Its "furniture terroir" is translated by the motto "Design is in our nature”, which will permeate the visual identity of the fair and its advertising campaign.

The president of Sindmóveis, Vinicius Benini, points out that organizing Movelsul Brasil is always a great challenge for the association. Strengthening the fair brand by highlighting local attributes is, according to him, a strategy that values both the experience of the promoting association and the hospitality characteristics Bento Gonçalves has showed over the 42 years the fair has been held. According to him, Movelsul Brasil contributes to the development of the national furniture industry, in terms of business generation, internationalization strategies and design promotion. Moreover, it also helps to consolidate our city as a tourist destination. "It's a great value chain that Sindmóveis articulates very seriously and I'm sure we will see growth in 2020," says Vinicius Benini.

By March 2019, Movelsul Brasil 2020 had already sold 60% of its exhibit space. An intense program of concurrent projects has been planned involving more than 200 exhibitors and visitors. Promoted by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves since 1977, it is the largest business platform in Latin America for the furniture industry, providing a sales and image enhancement environment for the furniture, decoration and accessories industry. In addition to the participation of qualified Brazilian shopkeepers and importers, Movelsul Brasil has a strong international positioning in target markets of the Brazilian furniture industry.

More about Movelsul Brasil

Along its history, Movelsul Brasil has featured more than 1,700 exhibiting companies. The first show took place in 1977, the year when the furniture industry became the major economic activity in Bento Gonçalves.  The 1st Mostra do Mobiliário in Bento Gonçalves brought together 24 furniture manufacturers based in the city. More than 200 exhibitors are expected to take part in the next show. The fair is held every two years, exhibiting products for offices, kitchens, bedrooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, gardens, living and dining rooms in addition to household appliances, rugs, upholstery and mattresses.

In 2020, Movelsul Brasil will be held from March 16 to 19 at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves.
