One month to go before the 20th Movelsul Brasil, its organizers continue to carry out its international promotional campaign by taking part in the 35th Expo Mueble Internacional Invierno, held from Feb 17-20 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Held twice a year, Movelsul always participates in the February edition of the largest Mexican  furniture fair.

Mexican imports of furniture made from wood, plastic, metal and other miscellaneous materials, excluding seats and mattresses, totaled $ 688 million in 2014. With a growth of 12% over the same period last year, Brazil has approximately 0.5% of this market share. The promotional campaign conducted by Movelsul Brasil at the event aims to attract importers to the Brazilian fair.

In addition to attracting foreign visitors to the fair through its international promotion, Movelsul Brasil has held the Buyer’s Project since 2000, which defrays the expenses to bring importers for business meetings with exhibitors. The initiative carried out by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves in partnership with Apex-Brasil generated more than $ 35 million in exports during the last project.

So far this year, 30 importers have been invited from 16 countries: Algeria, Argentina, Bulgaria, Qatar, Chile, Colombia, Curacao, Egypt, Ecuador, United States, France, Honduras, Morocco, Mozambique, Panama and Peru. Movelsul Brasil takes place from March 14-18 at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves. For more information, visit www.movelsul.com.br.
