A first time participant in the Buyer’s Project organized by Movelsul Brasil, the major fair of furniture and accessories in Latin America, Bulgaria sees in Brazil good business opportunities in the furniture sector. Currently, the country imports from suppliers based in Poland, Serbia, China, Italy, Turkey and Romania. The idea is to create business relationships with Brazilian companies, providing consumers with design solutions at affordable prices.

"Brazilian products are competitively priced, but they need to be adapted to our market, starting with the colors. In Bulgaria, people prefer furniture with darker shades," says the Director of International Relations of the Bulgarian Association of the Woodworking Industry, Ivaylo Todorov. Rossitza Pesheva, also a member of the association, together with Todorov, represent six companies at Movelsul: Videnov Group, Alfa Mebel, Dizma, Deizy Mebel, GS Malmgren Interiors and Mondo.

Surprised with the prices of the products, as they imagined they would find much more expensive items, they highlighted the organization of the fair. "We are delighted with the size of the pavilions. Everything is very well planned. Those in charge of the event are to be congratulated," said Todorov.

In total, thirty importers from 14 countries are taking part in the business meetings until next Friday, March 18. An estimated $ 35 million are expected to be generated from  the Buyer’s Project.
