Directors of Movelsul and Sindimóveis met yesterday to fulfill a ritual that has become a tradition at the fair. To symbolize the importance of environmental conservation, another tree was planted at Bosque Movelsul, a landscaped area in front of the pavilions of Parque de Eventos, where the fair takes place. A pitangueira (Eugenia uniflora) was planted next to 17 other native trees, representing each edition of the event.   The president of Movelsul, João Paulo Pompermayer, was the first to dig in the land for planting, followed by other directors. "Development must be sustainable. We cannot destroy to build," he said. The planting is a partnership between Sindmóveis and the Environment Protection Association of Bento Gonçalves.
