Mexico is a market with ample opportunities for Brazilian furniture industry suppliers to establish international partnerships. With this in mind, Orchestra Brasil – an export promotion project maintained by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) – will take 16 Brazilian companies to the Tecno Mueble 2023 fair, which will take place from August 16 to 19 in Guadalajara.
More than just generating international visibility for the brands involved in the project, Orchestra Brasil prepares participants to make the most of prospecting opportunities at the event. As explained by the project manager, Ana Cristina Schneider, a preliminary curation is done to bring companies with strategic profiles according to each international fair. “We will take suppliers of machinery, accessories, components, tools, raw materials, and software for furniture production with a high degree of affinity with the Mexican market. To ensure they are well-prepared for Tecno Mueble, we provide an overview of the main specificities and opportunities of the local sector, as well as give tips before the event and accompany them during the fair,” she explains.
The United States are Mexico’s main trading partners in imports, followed by Asian countries such as China, India, and Japan. Brazil holds an intermediate position but with strong potential to increase its presence. “Participating in Tecno Mueble is the starting point for Brazilian suppliers to expand their network of contacts, renewing and establishing new partnerships. Orchestra Brasil stands by these entrepreneurs, regardless of their degree of internationalization, so they can explore the best opportunities in the foreign market, taking the ‘made in Brazil’ label ever farther,” highlights Ana Cristina.
