Organized by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves – Sindmóveis and held since 1977, Movelsul Brasil is the major and the best furniture fair in Latin America, held in the largest furniture manufacturing area in Brazil from March 16-19. One of the strategic pillars of the event is the internationalization of the participating companies, an issue that has been addressed by the association for 30 years. For the 2020 show, 100 importers from the target markets have already confirmed their participation, a fact that reinforces the importance of the event for the segment and Sindmóveis as a representative body attuned to global business trends.
The international business meetings held during the 22nd Movelsul will have a new format, based on the priority of the furniture companies and the model used in other successful events, in line with world trends in the industry. The international buyers will be free to schedule meetings to negotiate with the exhibitors of their interest, a decisive factor to establish long-term assertive commercial relationships.
Exhibitors at the fair will receive a complete list with the profile of the selected buyers before the show. Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves, as the promoting organization of Movelsul Brasil, considers that this should expand the negotiations and the positioning of the national furniture abroad. At the same time, Sindmóveis is carrying out the Buyers Project of the sector-based Orchestra Brasil and Raiz project during Movelsul Brasil to promote the internationalization of the production chain of the furniture industry and Brazilian designers, respectively, with the support of Apex-Brasil.
A record number of international buyers and Apex-Brasil support
Movelsul Brasil will bring together the largest number of importers, shopkeepers, distributors and international businessmen ever invited along its history, twice as many as in 2018. Through the sector-based Orchestra Brasil and Raiz project, business meetings will be held with 10 importers exclusively aimed at suppliers to the furniture industry and 10 importers for commercial interaction with designers who are part of the Raiz Project. Both projects are supported by Apex-Brasil.
